The Foundation for Animals (formerly The Mikal Kellner Foundation for Animals) is a unique nonprofit foundation dedicated to addressing the critical needs of animals, both domestic and wild. The foundationprovides financial assistance to well-managed projects that promote animal welfare, prevent animalsuffering, and provide clear and explicit improvements for animals.
The Foundation For Animals (FFA) is dedicated to addressing critical needs of animals, both domestic and wild, by assisting projects in the Helena area that promote animal welfare, prevent animal suffering and provide needed improvements for animals.
The Foundation sponsors a free SPAY Montana clinic in Helena each year for pets of low income pet owners and helps those pet owners who need assistance with emergency veterinary care. On the wild side, FFA was the leading fundraising organization to help Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks develop the Montana Wildlife Center adjacent to Spring Meadow Lake State Park in Helena. Since the opening of the center in 2002, FFA has continued to raise funds for ongoing improvements at the wildlife rehabilitation facility. The most recent project being the completion of a raptor flight barn to rehabilitate wing injuries of eagles, owls and hawks.
