Ingredients

  • 6 oz Flintlock Bourbon Cask Spiced Rum
  • 9 Lime Zest
  • 40 Cloves
  • 1.5 oz Fresh Ginger
  • 2 Tbs Almonds
  • 1/4 tsp Almond Extract
  • 4.5 oz Lime Juice
  • 14 oz Simple Syrup

Procedure

  1. Toast cloves, blanch and toast almonds, and peel and chop 1.5 oz (by weight) of fresh ginger.
  2. Combine rum, lime zest, cloves, almonds, and ginger is a sealed jar and soak for 24 hours.
  3. Strain through cheesecloth or brew bag.
  4. Add almond extract, simple syrup, and lime juice. Bottle and shake to incorporate.
